Assignment Description

Assignment: 

Students will construct argumentative/persuasive essays on topics which were inspired by the units covered in the course text. 

Essay 3 will require a minimum of 2 sources from the library's databases and 2 from the 1010 textbook and/or electronic supplement.
This paper will be 750 words.

Essay 4 will require at least 3 sources from the databases and 1 from the textbook and/or online supplement.
The final paper will be at least 1000 words.

NOTE:  As college students, you will be asked to go beyond the "What is" paper and the mere repetition of information.

You should focus on strengthening your ability to

1) choose authoritative sources and reliable information,

2) analyze and synthesize information,

3) create thought-provoking questions,

4) engage in problem-solving and critical thinking.
