Assignment Description

Assignment:  Students will write critical essays on Susan Glaspell's play "Trifles."  After watching a film version and listening to a radio broadcast, the class will discuss themes and various aspects of the play. Before coming to the library, students will select a topic and formulate some of their own ideas about the play in preparation for beginning their research. The articles they select from databases (primarily) will support the topics they have chosen.  No websites may be used for this assignment.
