Assignment Description

greeks

Assignment:

This research project will involve selections from The Iliad, The Odyssey, Gilgamesh, SGGK or Oedipus. You will need to take the same steps as you did before where you research to find your topic. Use the reference room and databases for help in finding a topic. If you go to our assignment guide, you will find some helpful links.

You will need the following:

Works Cited and highlighted copies of material used.

Oral presentation which follows highlighted material and can be easily seen in presentation and should be at least 5 minutes or longer

Oral presentation should contain a visual of your choice.

Presentations will take place around the end of February

This will be equal to a test grade. You will be graded on creativity, presentation related to research and preparation evident in finished project. Your professional approach will be taken into account - this is a formal presentation and should be seen as such. This will affect your grade. Demonstration of thorough research is mandatory.

You must submit your subject proposal to me by Feb. 13 during your class period. It is suggested you do this much sooner. Do not submit a topic without researching first as you will not be allowed to change.

Proposals should be written down and handed in. None will be accepted after Feb. 13 and a zero for the project will be assigned after your class on Feb. 13.

I will allow two people in the same class to do a joint presentation if evidence of both equally working is shown. Remember creativity, research and presentation is the key.

****You must use only databases except for those links that are provided for you. If you have a source to use that is VITAL to your research, bring the copy, URL.... for approval.

As we read the various works, begin to take notes of subjects which may be of interest to you. Often, I mention that “This would be a good research topic”….

Let me know how I can help.
